Facebook Free For 3!

While talking with my good friend Jill last night we decided to leave facebook for 3 days!  This would give me some time away from the force that sucks you in and never lets go. My goals are to be more productive and learn to live without wondering what everyone in the universe is doing at this very moment.

My first thoughts were 3 days?  Piece of cake! I've got this in the bag.  However, now that it is ten after one in the afternoon I am learning just how deep my addiction runs.   I have wanted to log on at least 3 or 4 times.  I also just received a status update on my phone and I wanted to log on and read the rest of the status.  (My phone only allows the first sentence to come through.)

So what have I learned from this so far?  That I am way too dependent on facebook.  LOL.  Although, the fact that I am stuck at home with a sick kiddo allows me more time to want to hop onto the computer.  If all of my kiddos are well tomorrow I have hopes that Tuesday will be a better day for facebook withdrawals.  haha!

Wish me luck! ;)

35

So Sunday was the big day as I turned  35 years young.  I was a little unsure of how the day would go and how I would feel since I pretty much had a mid-life crisis when I turned 34.  LOL.  Needless to say it was a good day and so far no crisis.  :)

So thinking about being 35 has made me think about my life and getting older and all that nonsense.    I thought I could list some of the reasons why my life is good at this age and what made my birthday a good one.

1. My wonderful husband Brian who God made specifically for me, who also let me sleep in on my birthday! He had the day off and I was able to spend my special day with my most favorite person.
2. My oldest daughter Emersyn who understands that birthdays are special days, not just for her but for everyone else too.
3. My youngest daughter McKinlee who loves to sing and dance so she was really excited to sing Happy Birthday to me!
4. My youngest child and only son Paxton who was the first face I saw on my birthday when my husband and kids wished it to me.
5. Our friends, The Fallers who met us for a yummy lunch at one of my favorite places Texas Roadhouse. Also my friend Kandi who has a birthday 2 days before me so that we have double the reason to celebrate.
6. My family and friends who called and texted or posted on facebook to wish me a Happy Birthday. Especially my sister Cassie who is usually the first person to call bright and early in the morning every year on my birthday just like my mom used to.  I love that you sing to me.  Thanks Cass for always making me feel special in that way.
7. My best friend's husband and I share a birthday and every year it's a race to see who wishes the other a Happy Birthday first.  It makes it fun and I enjoy it, even though I lost this year.  ;)

I feel very blessed to have some amazing people in my life and I am excited to see what age 35 brings to me.  Thank you to all of you!
